gamzon (explanation on a book and a poem that i read)

This poem illustrates a great example of what this book is about. Throughout the book it was talking about the “song of the family.” This poem really shows how a family is suppose to be and how it would have remained if the baby Coyotito would have lived. This poem to me also explains the reason why God made all these people, and it explains why the people that make up a family are so important. In the pearl the author didn’t just come out with “Kino provided the food for the family, because he was the man.” The author actually took time to go through what Kino and Juana did to keep their family propelling forward. This poem was an excellent example of what it means to be a close family. The Pearl, by john Steinbeck and “A tribute to the family” by Michelle A. Moran were very closely related as far as the content that both of these pieces of literature held, and I am very grateful for reading both of them.
